Wizlo, a US-based operating system for telehealth companies, has partnered with payment orchestration provider Gr4vy to streamline billing operations and enhance flexibility. This strategic move replaces Wizlo’s previous model of direct processor integrations, which created dependencies that limited responsiveness to market changes.

The new arrangement grants Wizlo access to multiple payment providers—including Stripe, Adyen, Authorize.Net, and Google Pay—through a single connection point. More importantly, Gr4vy’s processor-independent tokenization ensures payment data remains under Wizlo’s control rather than being tied to specific processors.

Why Processor Independence Matters in Healthcare

The decision is particularly critical for telehealth platforms that manage subscription-based care. As Kevin Singh, co-founder of Wizlo, explained: “A failed recurring billing cycle can interrupt a patient’s access to prescriptions or ongoing treatment.” Direct processor integrations created vulnerabilities that could disrupt these essential services.

Gr4vy’s solution addresses this by holding payment tokens at the orchestration layer—allowing Wizlo to reroute transactions or add new providers without impacting patients. This is especially valuable in healthcare, where policy changes and regulatory updates can occur with little warning.

The partnership underscores a broader trend toward payment orchestration as companies seek greater control over their financial infrastructure. John Lunn, founder of Gr4vy, noted that telehealth providers “can’t afford to be limited by processor lock-in.”

Wizlo’s platform currently supports more than 15 enterprise clients in the longevity and weight loss sectors—markets where billing continuity is particularly vital given evolving regulations and patient needs. The integration also aligns with Wizlo’s multi-tenant architecture, allowing each client to manage its payment environment independently.
