Shiprazor Secures $2.65M Seed Funding to Revolutionize E-commerce Logistics in South Africa

Shiprazor Raises $2.65 Million to Build Intelligent Commerce Infrastructure for African Merchants

Cape Town-based Shiprazor, a logistics platform designed for e-commerce businesses, has announced a successful $2.65 million seed funding round. The investment will enable the startup to expand its network of courier partners and develop AI-powered solutions that optimize delivery processes.

Addressing Key Challenges in African E-commerce Logistics

Founded in 2023, Shiprazor helps merchants reduce shipping costs, improve fulfillment performance, and manage deliveries through a single integration. The platform connects businesses with over 20 courier partners, enabling them to select the most efficient options based on factors like price, delivery time, and reliability.

“South African merchants have shown remarkable resilience in navigating various challenges,” said Sahil Affriya, founder and CEO of Shiprazor. “But they shouldn’t have to fight their own fulfillment infrastructure while dealing with issues like load shedding and currency volatility. Our goal is to provide the single intelligent logistics layer that enables them to ship more for less.”

Investment Highlights

The seed round was led by pan-African venture capital firm Norrsken22, with participation from AAIC, E4E, Tremis Capital, and angel investors including senior leaders at Google. This brings Shiprazor’s total funding to $3.3 million.

Key uses of the funds include:

  • Expanding courier network across South Africa
  • Developing AI-powered solutions for workflow optimization
  • Launching address verification tools to reduce failed deliveries

Future Vision: Agentic Commerce

Shiprazor is building toward a vision of “agentic commerce” where automated systems handle order coordination and delivery without manual intervention. The company plans to launch additional AI agents that help merchants proactively identify issues, recommend solutions, and automate tasks.

Nivesh Pather, investment principal at Norrsken22, noted that Africa’s e-commerce market has significant potential but remains fragmented. “Shiprazor is building the missing infrastructure layer with a deep understanding of how this market works,” he said.
