Morocco's Charikaty Secures €3 Million Funding to Expand Accounting Services Across MENA
Charikaty Targets Regional Growth with New Investment
Moroccan legaltech startup Charikaty has raised a pre-seed round valuing the company at €3 million. The funding will support expansion beyond Morocco into key markets like Egypt and the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council).
The investor group includes Dubai-based Red Tape Ventures, Mastercard Kuwait’s Faris Al-Obaid, Saudi footballer Faris Abdi, and other undisclosed participants.
From Company Formation to Comprehensive Business Services
Charikaty initially focused on simplifying company incorporation online. Entrepreneurs can now use the platform to form SARL, SAS companies, and foreign subsidiaries with electronic signatures, fixed pricing, and online filing capabilities - some applications completing in as little as three days.
As CEO Amr Mouaqit explained, the team recognized a need for more comprehensive support beyond initial setup: “Working closely with founders during incorporation gave us unique insights into the ongoing administrative and financial challenges businesses face as they grow.” This realization prompted an expansion of services to include statutory changes, registered office management, accounting, trademark applications, and company dissolution.
Riding Digital Transformation Waves
This strategic shift aligns with Morocco’s broader digital transformation. Since introducing electronic company formation, the country has seen over 50,300 businesses created online - representing 44% of all new formations in 2026 alone.
Charikaty is positioned to capitalize on this trend as more markets across MENA adopt similar digital business administration systems. The ability to offer ongoing accounting and compliance solutions creates greater customer retention compared to one-off incorporation services.
The company has already diversified beyond legaltech with Webaty - a website creation service tailored for various professions, leveraging Charikaty’s experience across multiple industries.
