Moonshot by TechCabal Announces 2026 Theme: 'Courage & Conviction'

TechCabal has unveiled the theme for its fourth annual Moonshot conference, set to take place October 28-29, 2026, at the National Theatre in Lagos, Nigeria. The conference’s focus will be ‘Courage & Conviction — Building for a New World,’ signaling a strategic shift for Africa’s tech sector.

After recognizing an ecosystem that turned a corner following funding corrections in 2022 and 2023, Moonshot 2026 aims to explore what happens when African tech companies move beyond survival mode and actively compete on the global stage. The theme addresses today’s evolving landscape marked by shifting capital flows, greater exit expectations, and AI-driven industry restructuring.

‘African tech has already demonstrated remarkable resilience,’ noted Olanewaju Odunowo, head of TechCabal Insights. ‘Survival was just the beginning. Moonshot 2026 is where we examine what it means to win.’

The conference will be structured around a five-pillar manifesto emphasizing:
