Market Reflex Launches Platform to Develop Trading Discipline

New App Helps Traders Improve Decision-Making

South African startup Market Reflex has launched a trader development platform aimed at helping self-directed traders refine their discipline, decision-making processes, and trading psychology. The app combines structured trade journaling with AI-powered coaching to provide personalized feedback.

The Market Reflex system tracks pre-trade planning, execution reflection, and post-trade analysis—all in one place. It’s designed to address a common challenge among traders who already understand technical concepts but still struggle with emotional discipline. As founder Mlungisi Mdletshe explained, many traders fail due to impulsive decisions, revenge trading, or inconsistent risk management.

“Most trading products focus on charts, signals, or execution,” Mdletshe told Disrupt Africa. “But we’re addressing the behavioral side—helping people examine their decision-making patterns and improve consistency.” The platform connects planning, execution analysis, accountability features, and coaching insights in a single interface.

The self-funded startup has launched on the Apple App Store with an Android rollout planned soon. While currently at an early validation stage, Market Reflex is focused on improving user engagement and experience before pursuing aggressive growth. Their freemium model offers advanced tools through a Pro subscription.

Market Reflex initially targets English-speaking traders in South Africa, the United States, the UK, Canada, and Australia—with plans to expand distribution and localization as they scale.
