Ghanaian Agri-Tech Leader Joins Global Entrepreneurial Community

Desmond Koney, founder and CEO of Complete Farmer, has been selected to join the Endeavor network, a recognition that positions his company as one of Africa’s most promising agri-tech ventures.

Complete Farmer operates an agricultural trading platform connecting international buyers with smallholder farmers in Ghana and Togo. The company works with over 72,000 farmers, supplying major retailers like Aldi and Lidl while managing operations through a network of 350 field agents and eight fulfillment centers that handle aggregation, quality control, and export logistics.

Beyond trading, Complete Farmer has expanded to include a marketplace for farm inputs and equipment, as well as credit products tailored to agricultural businesses. This integrated approach addresses multiple pain points in the farming value chain.

The selection followed a rigorous multi-stage process culminating at Endeavor’s International Selection Panel in Athens, Greece, where Koney was chosen alongside 27 other entrepreneurs from around the world.

Expanding Opportunities for Ghana’s Ecosystem

Koney emphasized that this achievement extends beyond Complete Farmer: “As the first Ghanaian company to join the Endeavor network, I see it as an opportunity to create a bridge between our entrepreneurial ecosystem and a global community of founders, investors, and business leaders.” He expressed his commitment to sharing knowledge and opening doors for other Ghanaian entrepreneurs.

The selection also highlights the growing recognition of West Africa’s agricultural potential. Ireayomide Oladunjoye, managing director of Endeavor Nigeria, noted that Koney is building a company with both regional relevance and global impact – exactly the type of entrepreneurship that can drive meaningful economic change while creating opportunities for underserved communities.
